Miley Cyrus has officially announced that her latest single titled “Used to Be Young” is scheduled for release on August 25th, along with its music video. The song has been a topic of interest for a while as Cyrus had hinted at its lyrics during an interview with British Vogue in May 2023. She quoted a few lines from the song which were, “I know I used to be crazy/ I know I used to be fun/ You say I used to be wild/ I say I used to be young.” According to Cyrus, these lines came to her when another songwriter presented her with a conventional club track that she could no longer relate to, having been sober for two years.

Fans were quick to realize that the release of “Used to Be Young” was on the horizon after promotional posters featuring Cyrus and her iconic lyrics started appearing in cities like Brussels earlier this week. The posters included phrases such as “I hopped off the plane at LAX” and “I came in like a wrecking ball,” followed by the statement “I say I used to be young.” With her upcoming TV special event, Endless Summer Vacation: Continued (Backyard Sessions), Cyrus will continue to showcase her reflective side. The show will be broadcasted on ABC on August 24th and made available for streaming on Hulu the following day. This is a reimagined version of the original show that aired on Disney+ earlier this year, which includes an all-new interview.

You can now pre-order a special 7-inch vinyl of Cyrus’ latest single, “Used to Be Young.” Don’t miss out! Check out the announcement post below for more details.
